About the race
Iberika Trail Mataelpino is the mountain race of this village in El Boalo, at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama. It belongs to the Iberika Trail Comunidad de Madrid 7 Estrellas series organised by Enphorma and held its 11th edition in 2026, when its long race also opened the FMM Copa de Madrid mountain-running cup.
The short race is billed as 9 km with 300 m of climbing. It leaves the village and climbs to about 1,250 m in the first three kilometres, drops back towards Mataelpino, where its only aid station sits around halfway, and finishes with a descent to the bottom of a stream valley and one last climb up to the line.
Much of the event runs through the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, so the organisers are strict about staying on the marked trail and leaving no litter, and you must carry your own cup. Alongside the short race there is a long race of about 20-22 km with 1,300 m of climbing, a 4.5 km Iberika Fast Trail and a hiking route.

Start area by Calle Manuel de Falla, at the southern edge of Mataelpino (bib pickup in the town hall square), El Boalo (Mataelpino)
Parking
The organisers mark several parking areas near the start: around Avenida de los Linares, by the square where bibs are collected, and south of the start area next to the skate park. They advise not leaving anything visible inside your car.

Interurban buses 672 (Madrid Moncloa – Cerceda, via Mataelpino) and 724 (Madrid Plaza de Castilla – Manzanares el Real – El Boalo, which also serves Mataelpino).
