About the race

The Carrera Intersocial Solidaria de Alpedrete, known for years as the Carrera Solidaria Las Dehesas, is a community race organised by the Sociedad Española de Montañismo (SEMED) and Alpedrete town hall. In 2026 it reached its 32nd edition as SEMED's inter-club race.

The 10 km course starts and finishes at Plaza de Francisco Rabal, next to the Casa de Cultura. It runs through a few town streets before heading out on dirt tracks across the dehesas east of the village, towards the old quarries. The organisers say most of it is on dirt and the climbing is minor. There is a drinks station around km 5 (no cups, so bring your own) and another at the finish.

It is a relaxed, family-friendly race that suits anyone wanting a first taste of mixed terrain. Alongside the 10 km there is a 4 km race and a non-competitive 4 km walk, and places are set aside for runners with disabilities.

It is a charity event: SEMED works to bring mountain sports to people with disabilities, and the proceeds go to the cause the association announces each year.
