Carrera Solidaria de la Ilusión

The Carrera Solidaria de la Ilusión is Fundación Pita López's yearly event in Collado Villalba, run under the motto "Mueve piernas y corazón por el DCA" (move your legs and heart for acquired brain injury). The money raised supports people with acquired brain injury, particularly the foundation's children's rehabilitation centre.

The main race is a chip-timed, competitive 10 km that starts and finishes on Calle Batalla de Bailén, next to the Biblioteca Miguel Hernández. The course mixes town-centre streets such as Plaza de España and Calle Real with dirt stretches through La Dehesa, alongside the M-601, across the fairground park and around Romacalderas. There is a water station at roughly halfway.

It suits runners of every level and has a strong family feel: the same morning there is a non-competitive walk of about 3 km, also open to people with disabilities, and children's races at midday.

Bib pick-up on 25 and 26 September at the Hyundai Jamae dealership (avenida Juan Carlos I, 43). On-site registration is also possible on race day up to 45 minutes before the start.
