The Carrera por la Discapacidad CAPAZ APASCOVI is a charity race that Fundación APASCOVI holds every June with the support of Collado Villalba town council, under the motto "Corres tú, ganamos todos" (you run, we all win). It aims to raise awareness of the inclusion of people with disabilities and to fund the foundation's projects.
The 10 km starts at the Ciudad Deportiva, opposite the Centro Acuático, and finishes in its car park. It combines a first 5 km loop through town with a second 5 km lap around La Dehesa, so you get a mix of tarmac and paths. The course is almost flat, with about 70 m of climbing, and is chip-timed.
It is a small, family-friendly race that suits any runner. A 5 km town route runs on the same morning, designed for people of all ages and abilities, and it also draws wheelchair users and cyclists.
