Non-competitive charity run in Valdemorillo: 5 or 10 km (two laps) plus Nordic walking, raising money for childhood cancer research.

The Carrera Solidaria Niños Sin Cáncer is the flagship yearly event of Fundación OC (Oscar Contigo), set up by the parents of Oscar, a boy who died of medulloblastoma. It takes place in Valdemorillo in late September, around the International Day of Cancer Research, and every euro raised goes to paediatric cancer research.
It is not a competitive race: there is no timing and no results, and what counts is how much each participant raises. From the Colegio Público Juan Falcó you can run 5 km or 10 km, the latter being two laps of a 5 km circuit through village streets and the surrounding paths, or do 5 km of Nordic walking. There is a drinks station halfway round the lap and at the finish.
It is really a family festival: kids' races from 30 to 750 metres, live music, magic shows, children's activities and a charity paella for everyone registered. A great choice for a pressure-free run with family or workmates.
