About the race
The Trail Running de La Lentejada is one of the races in the Circuito 4 Desafíos, run by CDE Sierra Oeste: a series of mountain races where every event ends with a shared meal. Here the reward is a plate of lentils with beer and soft drinks, plus a finisher medal for everyone who crosses the line.
The 2025 and 2026 editions were held in Zarzalejo, starting and finishing at Plaza del Llano del Soldado, next to the railway station. The short Sprint Trail is advertised as 10 km (the organisers' published track is closer to 11.5 km) on tracks and paths around Zarzalejo at the foot of the Sierra de Malagón, with an aid station around km 6. There is also a 19 km long course, and both start together at 10:00.
It is a relaxed, family-friendly race rather than a serious competition, a good fit for runners getting into trail running or looking for an outing in the Sierra Oeste. Note that the circuit's 2027 calendar does not currently include the Lentejada, so check whether a new edition will take place.
