Subida a la Virgen del Espino

The Subida a la Virgen del Espino is a community race organised by Los Molinos town hall through its sports department. It is named after the Virgen del Espino, to whom the village dedicates its summer fiestas, and takes place in early September.

The race follows a 9 km circuit starting from Plaza de España in the village centre. The start is at 7 pm, so much of it is run in the evening light of the sierra. The town hall pitches it as a social event open to locals and runners from across the area.
