Carrera-Marcha Nocturna de Colmenar Viejo

The Colmenar Viejo Night Run and Walk is a summer event organised by the sports events company EDYM together with the town council. Almost all of it takes place after dark: it starts at dusk and the course is marked with fluorescent tape. Every entrant receives a head torch, which is compulsory, as well as the official shirt.

The start and finish are on the esplanade by the bullring on Avenida de los Toros. After a short stretch through town, the roughly 10 km course heads out into the countryside for a loop on rural tracks and old drove roads before returning. The organisers' profile shows altitude varying only between 859 and 910 m, with one drinks station on the course and food and drink at the finish.

The race is open to anyone aged 14 or over, with youth, open, veteran and para categories (para athletes enter free). A guided, non-competitive 10 km walk sets off at the same time and suits families. In 2026, 294 runners finished the 10K.
