About the race
Iberika Trail Torrelaguna, which reached its 13th edition in 2026, is the mountain race of this historic Sierra Norte town and is usually the first date of the year in the Iberika Trail Comunidad de Madrid 7 Estrellas series organised by Enphorma.
The start and finish are in the Plaza Mayor, opposite the town hall. The short race is billed as 9 km with 300 m of climbing (the official profile shows about 8.6 km): it climbs steadily from around 740 m to almost 965 m near halfway, with an aid station just past the high point, then drops back down into the old town.
Held in late January, it pays to come prepared for a cold early start. Besides the short race there is a long race of about 25 km with more than 1,250 m of climbing, a roughly 6 km Iberika Fast Trail and a hiking route, which makes it a good way into mountain running for newcomers.
